OVER EXPOSED IN BLUE

I love big puffy skirts and wide hems! And red shoes too; if I may add.

This is what I wore today when filming details for a styling-thing I'm participating in at TV1; my part and outfit will air next week's Thursday (Puoli Seitsemän). But more on that later! Now I'm off to Lahti for a gig, ta-ta!

(The dess is vintage from Love Miss Daisy and the shoes fom Andiamo.)

FOUR THINGS RIGHT NOW

(Or, to be precise, four things earlier today. I'm in the harbour right now.)

I like to give myself a little extra bit of weekend; take another Sunday morning those Mondays that I'm going to the evening shift. And so I did today - made a grat breakfast (soured whole milk (viili) and blue berries are such a good combination that right now I can't think of anything better!), took it easy, resulting in having to rush and stress like crazy later on in order to get done what needed to be done before work. Sigh.

The more the better - I burlesqified these heels for our new routine. And four more pairs. (It was fun the first two-and-a-half-pairs, the rest more painful. But, still more to come; more to be done!)

One of Kerttu's photos, with us Itty-Bitties swimming, is on the cover of 6degress. The article is about burlesque and the upcoming festival.

Meanwhile, the dog is smoking in the blue room.

FOUR THINGS RIGHT NOW

The smartest shopping I did this autumn was two lined A-line skirts form Zara, the same skirt but in different colours. I've been wearing them all the time.

I found some coasters in Stockholm, matching the patterns and colours of our living room.

Since the renovation and move I have paid surprisingly many visits to Etola, where I haven't set my foot since mom was there bying plastic baskets, jars and such in the eighties. They are still all about plastic baskets and practical things for home, but they also have a lot of surprising and cute items nowadays! I got these small boxes for my sewing parnaphelia.

You can read an interview with us Itty-Bitties in the latest issue of Kotilääkäri :)

LOOKING AT MY OLD HOME BY THE KITCHEN TABLE OF MY NEW ONE

Early in spring my old flat was photographed for a magazine, which came out the other day. It feels so nostalgic and sad to look at those pictures now that I've moved away! Don't get me wrong, I like it very well here at the new place, the surroundings that reminds me of my childhood (but strangely not of my teenage years, when I lived near to where I live now, and hated everything around here), the flat that is getting ready soon and the whole environment itself. But it differs a lot from how it was in the inner city and I miss my old neighborhood (although not the speed freaks and aggressive alcoholics around the corner or the fact that it was nearly impossible to find a parking space when coming home form the night shift...)

Anyway, from time to time I get the request to show some pictures from home and many where the ideas and many were the days and weeks and months that I planned to do such a post - but I never got it done in the old place. It seems I have not really been able to blog about home before I'm just about to move away (like the last time I moved ) or after already doing so, like now -but here are the spreads that was shot from the previous place:

Pekka and Lulu made it into almost every picture. Very good posers.

I had an old window haning on my wall in the entrance but it did not fit the style of this flat so I'm going to put it up in Eddi's countryhouse when we start fixing it up over there, eventually.

MY old kitchen was so cute! (The new on however has the Smeg so it beats all my older ktichens on all levels.)

I have some organizing to do at home here now but I might even be able to post some pictures soon of how the flat has turned out :)

The article about my old flat is in Avotakka Magazine.
