According to Women's Wear Daily, Dior's advisors have submitted a list of contenders for John Galliano's position. As of now, the list includes Prabal Gurung, Tom Ford, Alber Elbaz, Olivier Theyskiens, Nicolas Ghesquiere, Haider Ackermann, Riccardo Tisci, Hedi Slimane, and Sarah Burton.

Rumors have been rampant that Riccardo Tisci has been appointed as creative director at Christian Dior. Shoe designer Brian Atwood even tweeted about it. The claims having been officially confirmed by the fashion house who dismissed head designer John Galliano earlier this month.

Couture Hair and Makeup

We love couture shows most for the amazing pieces that walk down the runway, but we also love the hair and makeup! The hair and makeup team at Christian Dior and Armani Prive showed simple sleek hair and fairly simple makeup. Armani the face was bare with a dark purple lip, while the makeup at Dior was bright and colorful. Perfect for spring!

Red Carpet Style: Natalie Portman

Natalie Portman shined at this week's New York Black Swan premiere. The stunning actress wore a black Dior off the shoulder gown which she complimented with gorgeous wavy hair and a chic red lip.

Portman's wavy locks were courtesy of stylist John D. John D. started with a hydrating styling cream to smooth hair. Next he used a 1 inch iron to curl round sections all over her head. Lastly, he used a special trick "I sprayed a paddle brush with hairspray and used it to separate and loosen the hair."
